In the aftermath of October 7, American trauma surgeon Dr. Anna Goldenberg takes on a deeply personal mission: to fulfill the dying wish of her former trainee and dear friend, Israeli trauma surgeon Dr. Shachar Shimonovich, by bringing one of the world's most advanced trauma surgery training programs to Israel.

ASSET: Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma, an intensive, hands-on course that prepares surgeons to rapidly control life-threatening injuries when every minute matters. Against enormous bureaucratic, financial, and personal obstacles, Dr. Goldenberg brings the program to Israel, where Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Druze surgeons train side by side with one shared purpose: to save lives.

The conversation will be moderated by Margarita Lyadova, host of People Jew Wanna Know. Together, they will take us beyond the film to explore what medicine looks like in moments of crisis, how physicians prepare for the unimaginable, the relationships that transcend religion and politics inside an operating room, and what it means to use one's skills in service of others.
